In Kyiv, the Ukrainian Red Cross is responding to the aftermath of the overnight attack

The emergency response team of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross is working at the site of the overnight attack in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district together with the city’s emergency services.

Volunteers are assisting rescue teams in clearing the rubble, including recovering the bodies of those killed and transferring injured people to ambulance crews for hospitalisation.

The Ukrainian Red Cross has set up an assistance point at the site, where affected people and emergency responders can receive first aid and psychological first aid. The tent also provides hot tea, coffee and water, and allows people to charge their phones and other devices.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as of 7:30 a.m., at least 31 people, including one child, have been reported injured. One person has been killed. In addition, 27 people have been rescued.

Emergency rescue and search operations are ongoing.
