The Ukrainian Red Cross introduces grant opportunities for communities in the Chernihiv and Mykolaiv regions
The Ukrainian Red Cross has announced an upcoming group cash transfer grant call for frontline communities in the Chernihiv and Mykolaiv regions under the Support for National Crisis Response, Humanitarian Operations and Resilience Building project.
The initiative is implemented with U.S. support and aims to strengthen communities’ capacity to respond rapidly to challenges, restore critical infrastructure, and meet the basic needs of the population.
During the meetings, representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross introduced communities to the opportunities available under the call, the conditions for future funding, and approaches to identifying priority needs.
In the Chernihiv region, presentations were held for the Koriukivka, Mena, Snovsk, Sosnytsia, Kholmy, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Korop, Ponornytsia, Horodnia, Ripky, and Liubech communities.
In the Mykolaiv region, representatives of the Halytsynove, Kutsurub, Mishkovo-Pohorilove, Radisnyi Sad, Chornomorske, Shevchenkove, Kobleve, Nechaiane, Vesniane, Voskresenske, Zavodske, Snihurivka, Horokhivka, and Shyroke communities joined the presentations.
As part of the upcoming call, communities will be able to receive financial support for projects aimed at:
- restoring and maintaining critical infrastructure and basic services;
- improving conditions for internally displaced and evacuated people;
- strengthening preparedness for seasonal hazards and emergencies.
Communities are expected to submit their own project proposals based on identified needs, while funding will support solutions with a direct impact on residents’ lives.
