The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the aftermath of the strike in Merefa
Yesterday, a Ukrainian Red Cross team worked at the site of the strike in the town of Merefa, Kharkiv region. Volunteers promptly arrived at the location and, together with other emergency services, provided assistance to those affected.
Essential relief items were delivered to people, including drinking water, hygiene kits for adults and children, sleeping kits for children, blankets, as well as materials for temporary repairs of damaged housing — OSB boards and plastic sheeting for windows. In total, 94 people received support, including 17 children.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 4 people were killed and 18 were injured as a result of a missile strike on Merefa. A private house and a passenger vehicle caught fire. Nearby private and apartment buildings, shops, two cars, and a service station were also damaged.
