The Ukrainian Red Cross supports over 200,000 people with disabilities
On the International Day for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, we speak about equal rights, accessibility and respect — about a society in which persons with disabilities have equal opportunities to live full lives without barriers.
A world of equal opportunities is not an abstract idea, but a daily collective work that changes people’s lives. At present, the Ukrainian Red Cross supports over 200,000 people with disabilities, who receive essential assistance, services and support.
We help people overcome everyday challenges, adapt to new circumstances and preserve their dignity. Our support includes physical rehabilitation, social inclusion, psychosocial support, home-based care, the provision of humanitarian assistance, and other services tailored to individual needs. This is about the ability to recover, to remain independent, and to take an active part in community life.
The Ukrainian Red Cross is committed to making Ukraine more accessible — a country where people with disabilities have equal opportunities, access to services, and are treated with respect without exception.
We stand by those in need.
