Evacuees from frontline areas receive financial assistance from the Ukrainian Red Cross
The Ukrainian Red Cross has provided cash assistance to people evacuated from frontline areas to transit centres in Lozova, Kharkiv region, and Zaporizhzhia.
Support was provided to 2,290 people (1,535 households) who were forced to leave their homes due to ongoing shelling and threats to their lives.
In line with humanitarian response priorities in Ukraine for 2026, this cash assistance is intended for evacuees who registered at a transit centre within the first 45 days after displacement.
The assistance is designed to support people in the first weeks after evacuation and help them adapt to new living conditions.
Each registered household received a one-off payment of UAH 12,300 per family member to cover basic needs over a three-month period.
The programme is implemented with U.S. support.
