The Ukrainian Red Cross met with members of the Swedish Parliament in Kyiv

A delegation from the Swedish Parliament recently undertook a working visit to Ukraine. During the visit, they met with representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross, the Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and representatives of the Swedish Red Cross delegation in Ukraine.

They were briefed on the consequences of recent attacks and the humanitarian needs of affected communities. Further support and cooperation with Ukrainian emergency response services were discussed.

The delegation also visited a damaged residential building, where they spoke with residents affected by the strike. People shared their personal stories and memories of one of the most intense attacks on Kyiv, as well as their experiences of receiving assistance afterwards. Among them was a woman with an infant who had been pregnant at the time of the strike and was rescued during the rescue operation.

Such visits are important for building a shared understanding of the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and strengthening international support for affected communities. We continue to work together to ensure assistance reaches those who need it most.

The visit took place in coordination with the Ukrainian Red Cross, the Swedish Red Cross, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency.

Візит відбувся у координації з Українським та Шведським Червоним Хрестом, ДСНС України та Шведським агентством цивільного захисту і стійкості.
