What unites us in these challenging times: support for the pets of IDPs

“I moved from Pokrovsk. There was heavy fighting nearby,” says Kateryna, who was forced to leave her hometown and relocate to Odesa. “My dog is called Micky. He is three years old. Today we came to receive pet food. Finding food specifically for this breed is very expensive and difficult.”

For four years, in partnership with Humane World for Animals, we have been implementing a support programme for internally displaced people and other vulnerable groups who have pets. Over this time, assistance has reached more than 72,000 pet owners and 155,000 animals across 22 regions of Ukraine.
