Motherhood doesn’t have to mean putting your career on hold: Reboot specialists delivered a CV-writing training for mothers at the Kirovohrad Centre for Mother and Child
The Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme helps people take confident steps towards employment — from initial consultations to training or starting their own business. Among its areas of support is assistance with CV writing, as well as guidance on where and how to share it effectively.
At the request of the Kirovohrad Regional Social Centre for Mother and Child, a specialist from the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme team delivered a CV-writing training session for residents of the centre.
The career adviser focused on simple yet important aspects: how to present experience and skills clearly and concisely, what employers look for, how to recognise and value one’s own experience, and how to avoid common CV mistakes. Participants also learned where to share their CVs and how to present themselves effectively during the job search.
This training is another reminder that motherhood doesn’t have to mean putting your career on hold. It can be a time for preparation, rethinking one’s experience, and planning next steps.
The Reboot specialists support participants not only with CV preparation. The team analyses the local labour market, takes into account participants’ previous experience and skills, and, where needed, offers training or retraining in line with opportunities available in the region.
The programme is implemented in the region with financial support from the Swiss Red Cross and methodological support from the Spanish Red Cross.
