The Ukrainian Red Cross is responding to the aftermath of another attack in Sumy
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Sumy region immediately joined the emergency response to the consequences of the overnight attack, working alongside other emergency services.

Volunteers conducted door-to-door visits in damaged residential buildings, identified those affected, and provided first aid. People experiencing acute stress reactions were also given psychological first aid.

The Ukrainian Red Cross continues its response at the site: the distribution of construction materials has been organised for families whose homes were damaged, psychological first aid is being provided, and residents are being informed about the risks associated with explosive remnants of war.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two Russian strikes targeted residential areas of Sumy overnight. Multi-storey buildings were damaged, fires broke out, and residents were evacuated. In total, 11 apartment buildings, a kindergarten, and around 10 vehicles were damaged. Five people were injured, including one child.
