The Ukrainian Red Cross promotes safety awareness among children
As part of the School Safety Sessions project, Ukrainian Red Cross specialists continue to support children in developing safe behaviour practices. This time, the team from the Kirovohrad regional branch held a safety education session at a school on the topic “Fire safety — what you need to know.”
During the session, children learned essential safety rules at home, what to do in case of fire, and reviewed the steps to take in an emergency, including emergency numbers. Thanks to the interactive format, participants gained a better understanding of how to avoid dangerous situations and respond appropriately if they occur.
These sessions help foster a responsible attitude towards personal safety from an early age and build confidence in responding to emergencies.
The School Safety Sessions project is being implemented in Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions with the support of the British Red Cross.
