Support That Changes Lives: Ukrainian Red Cross Physical Rehabilitation and Social Adaptation Work in Chernihiv Region
During the first three months of this year, the Ukrainian Red Cross Physical Rehabilitation and Social Adaptation team in the Chernihiv region has been actively working to help people in need of rehabilitation regain mobility, confidence, and independence.
Over this period, the team achieved the following results:
- Conducted 91 home-based rehabilitation sessions;
- Provided physical rehabilitation services to 17 people;
- Offered information and counselling support to 13 people;
- Distributed 26 assistive rehabilitation devices.
Beyond individual support, the team also focuses on raising awareness and providing guidance. Nearly 250 people took part in information sessions and training events, which often serve as an important step towards recovery.
These are not just numbers — they represent people who have been given a chance to lead more active, dignified, and independent lives. The team continues to work to ensure that everyone in need of support feels cared for, supported, and empowered on their path to recovery.
