Sumy Region: Ukrainian Red Cross responding at attack sites

The Shostka unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Sumy region is working at the site of the attack. Volunteers conducted door-to-door visits to damaged homes to identify affected people and rapidly assess priority needs for the response. They also organised the distribution of construction materials for temporary repairs to damaged housing.

According to the Shostka City Council, in the Shostka community, a piece of infrastructure and two multi-storey residential buildings were damaged as a result of the Russian attack on 5 April. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries.

The Ukrainian Red Cross team in the Sumy region also responded at the site of an attack in the Popivka community.

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, in the village of Raky, two people were injured and 15 houses were damaged as a result of a Russian missile strike on 4 April.
