Kharkiv takes another step towards strengthening its rehabilitation system

The Kharkiv Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Kharkiv National Medical University.

This partnership opens up new opportunities for developing physical rehabilitation and social reintegration in the region, while strengthening support for people recovering from injuries and illnesses.

During the meeting, the parties discussed joint work in the humanitarian sector, including the development of mobile rehabilitation units (MRUs), which provide support where access to healthcare is limited, ensuring quality assistance for those who need it most.

Importantly, MRU specialists have already completed advanced training at the university hospital with the support of partners from the International Movement, further strengthening their expertise and effectiveness in communities.

Bringing efforts together will enhance professional competencies, introduce effective practices, and expand access to rehabilitation services for people across the Kharkiv region.
