Yesterday, the Ukrainian Red Cross responded at sites affected by a mass attack in Vinnytsia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Zhytomyr

  • Vinnytsia

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Vinnytsia region provided first aid to people injured in the attack. A support point was also set up, where volunteers distributed humanitarian assistance, including building materials, as well as tea, coffee and drinking water.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, one person was killed, and 13 others were injured as a result of the Russian attack. Nine private houses and two apartment buildings were damaged.

  • Ivano-Frankivsk

The team of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross provided first aid and psychological first aid to those affected.

According to the State Emergency Service, a Russian drone struck the central part of the city. Medical facilities and approximately 10 residential buildings were damaged. Two people were killed, and four were injured, including a child.

  • Lviv

The Ukrainian Red Cross set up support points at the site of the attack in Lviv. Staff and volunteers provided psychological first aid and offered tea, coffee and water. Plastic sheeting was also distributed to cover damaged areas.

The State Emergency Service reported that seven people were injured. Roofs of residential buildings caught fire following the strikes, vehicles were damaged, and windows were shattered.

  • Ternopil

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Ternopil region worked at the impact site alongside other emergency services. Volunteers remained on standby to provide assistance as needed.

  • Zhytomyr

The Zhytomyr emergency response team also worked at the site of the mass attack. Volunteers provided first aid and psychological first aid to those affected.

According to the State Emergency Service, a 12-year-old girl was injured. A two-storey residential building was damaged, and windows in nearby buildings were blown out by the blast wave.
