Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Ladyzhyn – A Space for Support and Community Engagement
The Community Center in Ladyzhyn is an open and accessible space where local residents can receive information, social, and psychological support, as well as take part in educational and awareness-raising activities. The Center brings together different areas of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s work, creating opportunities for community development and mutual support.
At the Ladyzhyn Community Center, a range of services and activities are available, including:
- Social counselling – specialists help residents navigate available support programmes, services, and community resources.
- First aid training – participants gain basic knowledge and practical skills to respond in emergency situations.
- Mine risk awareness sessions – raising awareness and promoting safe behaviour.
- Children’s activities within the mental health and psychosocial support programme – providing emotional support, developing social skills, and creating a safe space for interaction.
The Center also regularly hosts group meetings, educational and informational events, health promotion initiatives, and disease prevention activities. For young people, a dedicated youth space offers opportunities to participate in various activities, meet peers, and bring their own ideas to life.
