Kyiv Hosts Training on Cash Transfer Programming and Community Engagement
From 11–13 March, Kyiv hosted the training “Fundamentals of Cash Transfer Programming and Community Engagement”, aimed at strengthening the capacities of professionals working in cash assistance and community outreach.
The training brought together 26 regional specialists from Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. Participants represented regional teams directly involved in implementing cash programmes.
The training aimed to enhance the skills of regional specialists in cash assistance programming, deepen understanding of the core approaches to cash transfer programming, and familiarise participants with principles of community engagement and the strategic priorities for humanitarian response in 2026.
The programme combined theoretical and practical modules. Participants explored key stages of the cash programme project cycle, including feasibility assessments, beneficiary targeting approaches, transfer value calculations, delivery mechanisms, and collaboration with financial service providers.
