Reboot reaches the most remote communities
Specialists from the Reboot programme work not only in Ukraine’s eleven regional centres but also regularly visit remote communities, where they hold information sessions, provide consultations, and run practical workshops. Many people cannot travel regularly to regional centres, and some live in towns and villages with limited transport options.
Recently, the team visited several regions. In western Ukraine, in the Ternopil region, a session was held in Kremenets, where 26 participants learned about the programme, training opportunities, and microgrant support. In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a similar session at the local employment centre in Kosiv brought together 22 participants.
In central Ukraine, the Kropyvnytskyi team is preparing an off-site information session in Oleksandriia — a city 90 km from the regional centre. Last year, hairdressing courses there received highly positive feedback, so strong interest among residents is expected this year.
In the Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions, programme specialists continue collaborating with veteran spaces. In Kamianka, the session was held in partnership with the NGO Veteran Space of the Kamianka Community, where participants learned about grant opportunities and professional training. In Vinnytsia, the team visited Koziatyn for the second time — at the invitation of the local community and the NGO ATO, OOS Participants and Patriots of Koziatyn — reflecting residents’ keen interest in the programme and their desire to gain practical skills.
The programme aims to support people comprehensively, recognising that not everyone can travel to a regional centre. For this reason, the team carries out field visits, often lasting half a day or longer. “We stand by those in need” is more than a slogan — it is a guiding principle of the Ukrainian Red Cross, shaping the approach of the Reboot programme.
During these visits, specialists not only run information sessions but also meet with local authorities, communities, and partner organisations to expand opportunities for employment and career development.
