The Ukrainian Red Cross provides assistance to people affected by strikes in Dnipro and Kharkiv

  • Dnipro

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Dnipro region worked at the site of the overnight strike together with other emergency services. Volunteers conducted door-to-door visits in the damaged apartment building to check for injured residents and assess the needs of those living there.

Humanitarian assistance is currently being distributed to people whose homes were damaged as a result of the attack.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 10 people, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured in the overnight Russian attack. A multi-storey residential building, an administrative building, a private house and a car were damaged.

  • Kharkiv

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region worked at the sites where UAV strikes occurred late in the evening and overnight.

Volunteers visited damaged homes to identify people in need and provided first aid and psychological first aid.

A Ukrainian Red Cross support point is currently operating. At three locations, affected residents are receiving humanitarian assistance, including OSB boards, tarpaulins, plastic sheeting, blankets, ready-to-eat food parcels, hygiene kits and drinking water.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Russian UAV attack shattered windows in multi-storey residential buildings and set cars on fire. According to preliminary information, four people were injured, including one child.
