Communities in the Dnipro region received eight more generators from the Ukrainian Red Cross

The Ukrainian Red Cross has delivered eight 15 kW generators to eight communities in the Dnipro region. The generators were allocated to social and critical infrastructure facilities, including hospitals and outpatient clinics, shelters and Points of Invincibility (Resilience Centres), water supply facilities, and other institutions that must continue operating even during power outages.

Іn total, 49 generators of varying capacities have been provided to communities across the region. This support will help strengthen the resilience of local infrastructure and ensure the uninterrupted provision of essential services to the local population.

The official handover event was attended by heads and deputy heads of communities, as well as representatives of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration and the Dnipro regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

The delivered generators are part of a batch of 447 generators that the Ukrainian Red Cross received earlier this year from the European Union’s strategic #rescEU reserves under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. They are intended to support Ukrainian communities most affected by attacks on the energy infrastructure.

We sincerely thank our partners for their solidarity and support for Ukrainian communities. Together, we continue working to ensure that critical infrastructure can function even under the most challenging conditions.
