How Mothers Can Learn While Caring for Young Children: The Reboot Experience

In response to an invitation from the Kirovohrad Regional Social Centre for Mothers and Children, the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” team visited a temporary housing facility for pregnant women and mothers with young children.

The centre provides social support to women in their seventh to ninth month of pregnancy, as well as to mothers with children up to 18 months old who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.

Programme specialists introduced the women to the opportunities available through the Reboot programme, outlined prospects for professional development, and encouraged participants to take steps towards self-fulfilment. At the end of the meeting, on the initiative of the participants, a series of training sessions was planned.

This meeting demonstrates that motherhood does not have to be a barrier to education or personal development. On the contrary, it can be an opportunity to invest energy in oneself and in one’s future. An additional benefit for participants is that the programme covers childcare costs during training, allowing mothers to learn without worry.

Single parents raising young children who want to join the Reboot programme and start their journey to employment can call the hotline at 0 800 332 656 (select 1 in the voice menu).
