Nearly 100 families of missing civilians received financial support — over UAH 2 million
From August to December 2025, the Ukrainian Red Cross, with support from the British Red Cross, ran a one-time cash assistance programme for families of civilians reported missing.
The initiative targeted the most socio-economically vulnerable families who, between August 2024 and July 2025, had submitted a search request to the Ukrainian Red Cross or the International Committee of the Red Cross and completed a needs assessment.
The support covered basic household expenses as well as additional costs related to searching for a missing relative — including travel, document processing, and legal advice. For many families, this assistance helped them regain some financial stability during a period of uncertainty, allowing them to focus on locating their loved one.
Providing support to families of missing persons is an expression of solidarity with those hoping for news of their loved ones.
