The Ukrainian Red Cross delivers sessions on inclusive communication for pupils in the Odesa region
The Physical Rehabilitation and Social Adaptation team of the Odesa regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross delivered information sessions titled “Communication with People with Disabilities” at educational institutions in the Fontanka community and in the villages of Fontanka, Nova Dofynivka, Oleksandrivka, Svitle, and Kryzhanivka.
During the sessions, pupils gained essential knowledge and practical guidance on:
- how to offer assistance appropriately;
- which ethical principles should be observed;
- why inclusion is about equality, respect and building a barrier-free society.
These initiatives help foster a culture of humanity and mutual respect among young people, recognising that an inclusive environment begins with each individual’s awareness and attitudes.
The sessions were organised with the support of the Department of Education, Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports of the Fontanka Village Council. This area of work is implemented with the support of the German Red Cross.
