Where danger is not always visible, it is especially important to clearly mark risks and warn people in time. To support this, the Civil Protection and Civil–Military Cooperation Department of the Ukrainian Red Cross, together with the Chernihiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, handed over 2,500 warning signs and 35,000 metres of marking tape to the special-purpose emergency rescue unit of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region. The assistance was provided with the support of the Italian Red Cross.

The supplies will be used to mark potentially hazardous areas in communities across the region. This will help residents recognise risks in advance, avoid dangerous zones, and reduce the likelihood of injury.

Together, we are working to make the areas around communities safer. Every sign and every length of tape is more than a marker — it is another step towards saving lives.
