Ukrainian Red Cross and Swedish Red Cross Agree on Priorities for Future Cooperation

A working meeting was held between the leadership of the Ukrainian Red Cross, led by Director General Maksym Dotsenko, and a delegation from the Swedish Red Cross, headed by Secretary General Ulrika Modéer.

The meeting focused on developing strategic partnerships, coordinating humanitarian initiatives, and identifying priorities for continued cooperation between the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Swedish Red Cross.

Both sides agreed on key areas of collaboration and identified specific directions for expanding their joint work. In particular, they discussed strengthening programmes in mental health and psychosocial support, with a focus on capacity building and the sustainability of services.

The discussion also addressed the systematic integration of protection, gender equality, and inclusion approaches within programmes and organisational mechanisms, as well as the development of local branches, including governance and institutional capacity.

The meeting represented an important step in strengthening the partnership between the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Swedish Red Cross and in expanding joint humanitarian initiatives to support people affected by the war.

We thank our partners for their trust, solidarity, and steadfast support for Ukraine.
