The Ukrainian Red Cross conducted YABC training for peer educators in the Lviv region
From 2 to 8 February 2026, a training for peer educators of the YABC (Youth as Agents of Behavioural Change) youth initiative took place in the Lviv region. Over six days, participants learned through a peer-to-peer approach, explored their personal values, developed a deeper understanding of themselves and others, and strengthened their ability to interact effectively in a range of life situations.
YABC is a youth initiative in the field of humanistic education aimed at fostering a culture of non-violence, peace and social inclusion. As part of the programme, participants engaged with topics such as non-discrimination, equality, non-violence and respect for diversity, while also developing empathy, dialogue skills and the capacity for conscious and constructive interaction with others.
Following the training, participants are ready to share the knowledge they have gained with their peers and to act as agents of positive change within their communities.
