Nearly 1,000 People Received Job Search Support through the Reboot Online Service
The online service of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme helps people find employment and new professional opportunities without leaving their homes. It operates alongside the programme’s regional service centres but has a key difference: all services are provided remotely, enabling a much wider reach among vulnerable groups.
In 2025, almost 1,000 participants joined the Reboot programme through the online service. Half of them completed training and professional retraining in relevant fields, including IT, social media marketing, recruitment, accounting, and logistics.
“The online service provides support in job search regardless of someone’s place of residence or personal circumstances. We work with mothers of children with disabilities, people caring for family members, veterans, and those with limited mobility. We offer tangible support in regions where the programme lacks a physical presence, reaching people across Ukraine. Our strength lies in flexibility and accessibility,” says Tetiana Diomina, the coordinator.
The Reboot online service, supported by the Spanish Red Cross, operates in the following regions: Zakarpattia, Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Chernivtsi, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, as well as government-controlled areas of Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Kherson regions.
The programme provides assistance to a wide range of people, including:
- Household members caring for people with disabilities or elderly relatives;
- People with chronic illnesses or conditions that significantly limit their ability to work;
- Families of prisoners of war, fallen, or missing defenders of Ukraine;
- People whose property was destroyed or damaged as a result of the armed conflict;
- Low-income households and other vulnerable groups.
The online format offers various employment options, tailored to participants’ capacities and needs. Registered participants receive:
- Psychological support and help in restoring personal resilience;
- Career advisory consultations to identify strengths and professional potential;
- Assistance in creating CVs and planning career paths;
- Opportunities for professional online training to increase competitiveness in the labour market.
