Yuliia sews stage costumes for folk dance, helping to proudly showcase the Mykolaiv region
Yuliia Tsukanova, a mother of a child with special needs, had long dreamed of starting her own business. She brought her idea to life by opening a business producing rehearsal outfits and stage costumes for creative groups.
For 18 years, Yuliia has worked as the director of a folk ensemble and has gained an in-depth understanding of the needs of creative groups. This experience became the foundation of her business — producing comfortable, well-designed costumes for rehearsals and performances that allow ensembles to proudly represent the Mykolaiv region at festivals.
To develop and expand her business, Yuliia lacked professional equipment. When she learned about the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme in Mykolaiv, she applied for support. Thanks to the grant she received, she was able to invest in the equipment needed to scale up production. Today, her showroom is equipped with sublimation and heat-transfer printers, a plotter-cutter for cutting logos, and a heat press for high-quality image application.
Yuliia can now manage the entire clothing production process, take on more orders, and offer creative groups high-quality, modern solutions.
