Kharkiv: At the site of another attack, a team of the Ukrainian Red Cross worked alongside other emergency response services

Four emergency response team crews of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Kharkiv region were deployed to the Industrialnyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts of Kharkiv. The teams conducted door-to-door assessments of damaged buildings, residential housing and surrounding areas to identify injured people. Where required, they provided first aid and psychological first aid to affected individuals.

A Ukrainian Red Cross support point is currently operating at the site of the attack, where people can access drinking water, tea or coffee and receive psychosocial support. Humanitarian assistance is being distributed at three locations, including OSB boards, tarpaulins, plastic sheeting for windows, transit food and hygiene kits, blankets and sleeping kits for children, drinking water, and other essential items.

Needs assessments are currently underway, and assistance is being planned for internally displaced people who were relocated from a dormitory damaged during the overnight attack.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a large-scale Russian UAV attack damaged multi-storey residential buildings, a dormitory and a medical facility. At present, 19 people are reported injured, including one child.
