The Ukrainian Red Cross has provided assistive equipment to primary healthcare facilities in the Poltava district

As part of the Physical Rehabilitation and Social Adaptation programme, the Poltava regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has delivered assistive equipment to Primary Healthcare Centres in the Poltava district to help create an accessible and inclusive environment for patients.

Healthcare facilities received ramps to ensure barrier-free access to healthcare services, handrails to support safe mobility, and toilet support frames that enhance comfort and independence for persons with disabilities and people with limited mobility.

The total value of the equipment provided exceeds UAH 300,000. This support is aimed at improving access to healthcare services and addressing the current needs of local communities.

Rehabilitation is not only about restoring functional abilities; it is also about ensuring an environment in which people feel safe, confident and treated with dignity. The Ukrainian Red Cross remains committed to making medical and social spaces accessible to everyone.
