In Kyiv, the response to the consequences of attacks on energy infrastructure and severe frost is ongoing
The Ukrainian Red Cross remains alongside people who, due to disruptions to electricity, water and heat supply, have found themselves in difficult living conditions.
Our team provides round-the-clock support to heating points, where people can warm up, receive essential assistance and feel supported during this challenging time. For example, in the Obolon district alone, almost 500 people visited these facilities over the course of just a few days. In addition, yesterday the Ukrainian Red Cross delivered 1,300 hot meals to 12 heating points in Kyiv, prepared in field kitchens operated by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).
Assistance is delivered in close coordination with local authorities and the SESU, ensuring it reaches those most in need in a timely manner.
We sincerely thank our donors and partners within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as the U.S. Department of State, for their support, solidarity and assistance to Ukraine.
We stand by those in need — to provide warmth, support and help.
