Video: Activities of the Lozova Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the team at the Lozova branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has grown from 5–7 members to 30 volunteers, who work actively every day to provide assistance to everyone in need.
The branch has an emergency response team that is ready to be deployed at short notice to emergency situations and help mitigate their consequences. Volunteers also distribute humanitarian aid, including construction materials, the demand for which has increased due to frequent shelling and the city’s proximity to the front line.
In Lozova, a transit centre has also been established for people evacuated from frontline communities. Here, evacuees can receive humanitarian assistance, first aid, medical consultations, and psychological first aid, while children receive transit psychosocial support kits.
The activities of the Lozova branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross are carried out in close coordination and partnership with the Lozova local community.
We stand by those in need!
