Handover of Medical Identification Vests and Individual First Aid Kits to Emergency Responders
The Ukrainian Red Cross is supporting the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) by strengthening the capacity of its units to provide assistance to people affected by emergencies. As part of the latest phase of support, emergency responders received 500 medical identification vests and 100 individual first aid kits.
The medical identification vests will ensure clear and visible identification of medical personnel in emergency settings, while the individual first aid kits will enable responders to provide life-saving first aid more rapidly and directly at incident sites.
“Each item of this support ultimately means saved lives and safety for those who are the first to respond. Our medics and first responders often work in extremely challenging conditions, where every second counts. Support from partners like this helps ensure that our specialists have everything they need to carry out their work as effectively and safely as possible. I thank the Ukrainian Red Cross for its continued support,” said Andrii Danyk, Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
