We continue to provide assistance to people who, as a result of large-scale attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, are currently without electricity and heating

The Ukrainian Red Cross has joined a large-scale response together with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) and partners. The organisation is supporting the operation of mobile heating points established by the SESU by providing generators, heat guns, lighting, furniture and essential consumables, as well as mobilising volunteers and staff to support the response. Coordination with other humanitarian organisations is also ongoing, including The Salvation Army, Donbas SOS, World Central Kitchen and Dobrobat, to ensure that assistance reaches everyone who needs it.

In addition, the organisation supplies food to field kitchens. In the capital and the Kyiv region, more than 2,000 people have already received hot drinks and meals from the Ukrainian Red Cross.

To support the functioning of medical facilities and other critical institutions, the Ukrainian Red Cross is delivering 524 generators of various capacities, 100 of which are allocated to Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

Special attention is being given to the vulnerable population groups. As part of the Home-Based Care programme, Ukrainian Red Cross social helpers are making additional visits and providing assistance to nearly 8,000 people living alone or with limited family support, for whom the current situation is particularly challenging.

We thank donors, partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the European Union and the U.S. Department of State for their support, provision of hot meals, and solidarity with Ukraine. Together, we are helping those who need it most.

We stand by those in need.
