The Reboot team in the Cherkasy region supported an event to strengthen veterans’ families

This weekend, the event “The Defender’s Family Cradle” took place in Melnyky, Chyhyryn district, aimed at supporting veterans and their families. During the event, local businesses and civil society organisations joined efforts to create a space for family interaction and to strengthen social support for participants.

The team of the Cherkasy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross presented a dedicated area for the Reboot programme, which supports veterans on their path to recovery, adaptation and a new social start. During the meeting, the team engaged with families, shared practical information and spoke about grants that veterans have already received and are currently implementing. Participants were able to learn about opportunities for employment, education and the development of their own projects, as well as receive support for a new beginning.

On this day, veterans and their families had the opportunity not only to enjoy performances by professional and folk artists, but also to participate in a quest and creative workshops, and to receive useful advice, find like-minded people, and feel that recovery is possible when support and understanding are close at hand.
