The Ukrainian Red Cross is providing support to those affected by the strike on Zolotonosha
Teams from the Cherkasy regional and Zolotonosha city-district branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross are delivering assistance at the site of the latest attack in the Cherkasy region. Working jointly with the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) in Cherkasy Region, and the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Cherkasy Region, they are providing essential support to those affected.
Mobile warming centres operated by the Ukrainian Red Cross are currently in place, where affected residents and emergency responders can warm up, take a short rest, have hot drinks and charge their mobile phones. Humanitarian assistance is being distributed on site in line with identified needs, including plastic sheeting, tarpaulins, OSB boards, timber beams and planks for the rapid temporary repair of damaged structures. Ukrainian Red Cross specialists are also providing psychological first aid.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), Russian forces carried out a missile strike on the city of Zolotonosha during the daytime. Preliminary information indicates that residential infrastructure and a private enterprise were damaged by shrapnel and the blast wave. Five people were injured.
