Over 400 home visits carried out by Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units in the Chernihiv region in 2025
Throughout 2025, the physical and mental rehabilitation teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Chernihiv region continued their ongoing work to deliver accessible rehabilitation services to people in the region.
In total, 431 home visits were conducted. During these visits, 63 people received physical therapy services, while 38 people benefited from information and support services. The mobile rehabilitation units focused on supporting individuals with limited access to rehabilitation assistance, particularly in remote communities.
A key area of work was also the provision of assistive devices: 74 items were delivered directly to beneficiaries, and a further 245 items were supplied to care institutions, expanding access to essential support and improving the quality of care.
Special attention was paid to raising awareness and strengthening skills in the field of rehabilitation. Over the year, more than 1,600 people were reached through capacity-building activities, including 47 trainings and 54 information sessions for community members and social and healthcare professionals.
The physical and mental rehabilitation activities in the Chernihiv region, implemented with the support of the British Red Cross, remain an important part of community-level support, contributing to recovery, improved quality of life, and greater accessibility of assistance for those who need it most.
