The fourth cycle of the Ukrainian Red Cross Social Recovery Programme for veterans and their families has taken place
From 13 to 20 December 2025, 12 veteran families with children took part in rest and recovery activities at the “Bereh Nadii” recreation centre in the Khmelnytskyi region. The programme is designed for the whole family, ensuring that everyone has space for support, recovery and shared time together.
Throughout the week, participants were supported by a multidisciplinary team of the Ukrainian Red Cross, including psychologists, rehabilitation specialists and invited professionals from the recreation centre.
The programme combined psychoeducational sessions, physical and recovery-based practices, family activities with creative elements, pottery workshops, and a live music evening. Participants also had access to the centre’s salt therapy room and other recovery services.
A separate programme for children was organised, with volunteers working with them daily through developmental and creative activities.
In total, in 2025, 43 veteran families took part in rest and recovery activities within the Social Recovery Programme.
We are committed to supporting veterans and their loved ones on their path to recovery — at their own pace and in a safe, supportive environment.
