The Second Humanitarian Forum of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Eastern Region Held in Dnipro

The event brought together representatives of public authorities, humanitarian organisations, volunteer missions, security and evacuation experts, police officers and emergency responders – all those who work every day to ensure safety and provide support to people living in frontline communities.

The forum programme focused on key issues shaping the region’s humanitarian agenda, including:

  • coordination of humanitarian efforts between state institutions, local authorities and international partners;
  • evacuation of the population and overcoming systemic barriers;
  • partnership between public authorities and civil society organisations to deliver effective assistance;
  • safety and security of volunteers and staff working in challenging conditions.

Throughout the day, representatives of regional state administrations, the police and humanitarian organisations shared their experience and practical achievements.

The forum also included a review of results and key outcomes of the work of regional branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the eastern region, as well as recognition of volunteers and teams for their contribution.

“Humanitarian work is about cooperation, trust, and the readiness to stand side by side and act together under any circumstances,” said Yevhen Poliarush, Head of the Eastern Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

Eastern Ukraine remains a region where every decision, every programme and every partnership has a direct impact on people’s lives here and now. That is why platforms like this are so important – they enable the sharing of experience, the identification of common priorities, and the development of systematic approaches that deliver real results.

Together, we strengthen humanitarian action and do more for those who need it most.
