Nikopol: responding to the Aftermath of Shelling
Since the morning, the city has been under intense shelling. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, several direct hits were recorded in the city. There are injured people, and a 76-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man have died.
Volunteers from the Nikopol unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Dnipro region worked at all impact sites and assessed the affected areas to provide assistance to those injured. At one location, the team found a woman with a lower-limb injury. Volunteers examined her, provided first aid, monitored her condition, and waited for the ambulance to arrive, handing her over to medical personnel.
First aid was also provided to a man with an abdominal injury, who was then transferred to State Emergency Service personnel for further evacuation to a medical facility.
