Kharkiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross is assisting in the response to the recent attack on the city

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region carried out door-to-door visits in damaged buildings and surrounding areas to identify injured people, providing first aid and psychological first aid to those affected.

An assistance point is currently operating at the site, where people affected by the attack — including residents of damaged buildings and emergency workers involved in the response — can rest and access water, tea, or coffee. Based on the identified needs, humanitarian aid is being distributed, including OSB boards, tarpaulins, transit hygiene kits, water, and other essential supplies.

According to preliminary data from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, fires broke out in the central part of Kharkiv as a result of a Russian drone strike. Three people were injured, and residential buildings and other structures were damaged.
