A Series of Psychological First Aid Training Sessions Held for Civil Servants in Kyiv
The Ukrainian Red Cross, in cooperation with the High School of Public Governance, continues its systematic efforts to support the mental health and resilience of civil servants during wartime.
On 4–5 November, staff from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, as well as the State Agency of Ukraine on Arts and Art Education, took part in Psychological First Aid (PFA) training sessions.
The sessions aimed to develop practical skills for maintaining one’s own emotional well-being and providing peer support in stressful situations. Participants learned the structure and core principles of PFA — “Look. Listen. Link.” — and practised recognising common reactions to crisis events, as well as responding appropriately in emergencies.
Particular attention was given to practical exercises and the peer-to-peer learning format. This approach enabled participants not only to gain knowledge but also to apply it to real-life scenarios and build confidence in their ability to act effectively.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to strengthen cooperation with state institutions to ensure psychological support is accessible at all levels.
