As part of the project “Explosive Ordnance Contamination in Ukraine”, the Kyiv city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross handed over a set of 3D educational displays titled “Mines and Explosive Ordnance”
The displays have been installed in the Safety Classroom of Lyceum No. 274 in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district.
The visual materials will help students better understand safety rules and increase their awareness of mine risks. Thanks to these displays, teachers and specialists will be able to conduct interactive lessons, while students will learn vital safety information in an engaging and accessible way.
During a meeting with the school’s management, the participants also discussed further cooperation — including awareness sessions, the development of educational programmes, and the introduction of preventive measures to promote a safe learning environment.
This is another step towards creating a space where children can learn safely. Cooperation between educational institutions and the Ukrainian Red Cross helps build a culture of safety among children and young people — something that is particularly important in today’s context.
The displays were delivered jointly by the Darnytskyi district branch and the Humanitarian Access and Protection Department of the Ukrainian Red Cross, with financial support from the Italian Red Cross.
