Almost 800 visits — the results of Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units in the Poltava region over the past year

Over the past year, two Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units have been operating in the Poltava region.

Their goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of where they live, has access to quality physical rehabilitation.

During this time, specialists conducted 793 physical therapy sessions, helping people restore lost motor functions according to individually tailored plans, master correct exercise techniques, receive guidance for independent practice, and gradually return to socially active lives.

In total, 129 beneficiaries received rehabilitation support from the mobile rehabilitation units, while 72 caregivers accessed informational and supportive services. In addition, over the year, trainers in physical and mental rehabilitation conducted 52 informational sessions and 35 training courses in local communities, aimed at raising awareness of evidence-based rehabilitation practices.

Furthermore, in 2025, a case management specialist began working in the Poltava region, handling 63 requests for assistance so far, coordinating communication between beneficiaries, our teams, and other institutions.
