In Odesa, the Ukrainian Red Cross organised several sessions aimed at supporting community health
For families displaced by the war and currently living in Odesa, an information session on tuberculosis was held. The goal was to raise awareness of the symptoms of the disease, preventive measures, and the importance of seeking timely medical care.
Participants also took part in a practical session on blood pressure measurement. Volunteers helped adults learn how to measure blood pressure correctly and explained why it is important to monitor changes — whether increases or decreases — in order to maintain good health. These skills will enable participants to check blood pressure for all family members and help their loved ones take better care of their well-being.
The activities under the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention programme of the Ukrainian Red Cross are implemented in the Odesa region with the support of the German Red Cross.
