Another evacuation train arrived in Berdychiv, carrying ten elderly residents from care homes in front-line regions of Ukraine to a safer location.

At the railway station, they were welcomed by volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zhytomyr region, alongside emergency workers, medical staff, and local authorities. Our volunteers assisted passengers with transfers, carried their luggage, accompanied them to transport, and provided support during their relocation.

A Ukrainian Red Cross humanitarian officer coordinated the interaction between emergency services and social institutions to ensure the comfort and safety of every evacuee.

Together with our partners, we work to ensure that every evacuation is carried out calmly and with care for those affected.
