Promoting Healthy Lifestyles Among Children: Ukrainian Red Cross Holds Educational Event in Ternopil Region

An interactive health session titled “Little Secrets of Good Health” was held in the village of Molotkiv, Ternopil region, as part of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s efforts to promote healthy lifestyles among children.

A health consultant from the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Health Promotion and Disease Prevention programme spoke with the children about how to:

  • take care of their physical well-being — including healthy eating, personal hygiene, and regular physical activity;
  • support their mental well-being — such as getting enough sleep, maintaining good mental health, and looking after their emotional state.

As part of a practical activity, the children illustrated items and actions that contribute to a healthy lifestyle by drawing them on an outline of the human body.

To wrap up the session, participants took part in a movement-based exercise, reinforcing the message that good health isn’t just about knowledge — it’s also about staying active. This activity is part of ongoing health promotion efforts in the Ternopil region, supported by the Norwegian Red Cross.
