A Series of Psychological First Aid (PFA) Trainings Held in Odesa for Staff of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine
During the sessions, participants learned how to recognise common reactions to crisis events and apply the three core action principles of PFA — “Look, Listen, Link” — while also focusing on self-care and practising personal coping strategies.
The trainings were delivered by trainers from the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross. Through practical exercises, role plays, and group discussions, participants strengthened their knowledge and developed the skills needed to provide effective support to people in distress.
This collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine helps to expand access to psychological first aid skills among professionals who engage with people on a daily basis — and who may become a vital source of support in moments of crisis.
