Ukrainian Red Cross Assists Evacuees Arriving by Train in Zhytomyr Region
Another evacuation train carrying 30 residents of a care home for older people with disabilities, evacuated from frontline areas, arrived in Berdychiv.
At the railway station, the evacuees were met by volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zhytomyr region, working in coordination with personnel from the State Emergency Service (SES) and local authorities. The team supported evacuees in adjusting to their new environment, providing transport and the necessary assistance.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all services involved, the evacuees were quickly accommodated in safe and comfortable conditions, where they received a warm welcome and the care they needed.
We stand by those in need.
