Promoting Humanity and Compassion through Humanistic Education Workshops
The Ukrainian Red Cross is developing the Conflict Management initiative — a series of workshops aimed at strengthening interpersonal conflict resolution skills.
The fourth video in the series on the development of volunteering within the URC focuses on how participants learn to practise active listening, communicate non-violently, and gradually shift from “you-messages” to “I-messages”.
“Conflict is a natural part of life,” explains Ksenia, one of the initiative’s facilitators. “We teach people how to recognise their own needs and emotions, as well as how to listen to the needs and feelings of others. By managing conflict more effectively — whether in communities or schools — it’s possible to reduce bullying, make communication more mindful, and help people feel more confident in themselves.”
