A Series of Support Activities for Vulnerable Groups by the Ukrainian Red Cross in Volyn Region
Volunteers and staff of the Ukrainian Red Cross continue to support those most in need. As part of the “We Stand by Those in Need” project, the Kivertsi branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross distributed 40 food and hygiene kits to children affected by the war.
Over 100 kits were also provided to older people — beneficiaries of the Home-Based Care programme and other recipients of Ukrainian Red Cross assistance. Distributions took place across Lutsk, Shatsk, and Volodymyr districts, as well as in the cities of Novovolynsk and Lutsk, with support from the Church of the Resurrection of Christ.
In Kivertsi, a meeting of the Active Longevity Club was held at the local museum of local history. In Buchyn village, the Liubeshiv branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, together with staff from the territorial social services centre, organised an event for inpatients. Meanwhile, the Starovyzhivka branch hosted a festive gathering of its Active Longevity Club, featuring a performance by the local choir.
These activities reflect continued care and support for the residents of the Volyn region who are among the most vulnerable during the war.
